Spicing things up
Many years ago, I found a small olive oil and spice shop in the town I lived in. Since they were small, and I love to cook, I decided to do some images for them. I set up a space in my garage and started photographing things that I thought they may like to have on a wall. I picked a few and made a couple large prints, then I stopped in and gave the prints to them. They were elated. So much so that they hired me to do a few more for them.
Unfortunately, they closed several years ago. It was a niche type of shop and it was in a town that didn’t value places like that. It was still a great feeling creating something for someone that would hopefully help their business. If anything, I at least gave them some art to hang on their walls.
