Sure, that’s just an American Robin. You can find them pretty much anywhere, and lots of them. Clearly, this photo isn’t about showing you some exotic animal. I just happened to see this robin taking a bath. I liked the shot, so I snapped it.
I think that some of the most amazing images are of everyday occurrences. Obviously, I really enjoy seeing exotic places, or rare animals. Well crafted images of regular old things, that make us think of how amazing the world around us is, just hits differently. I honestly try to approach the world, and my photography, with the wonder of the child inside me. Sure, it sounds insanely cliche, but it’s true. There are so many little things all around us that we take for granted.
We just need to take a moment to look around, and wonder.
